About DST

Designing Speech Therapy is a collaboration between Emily and Tim St. Clair.

Emily is a school-based speech-language pathologist (SLP) with a teaching background. Before becoming an SLP, she taught a moderate-severe special day class with a focus on autism spectrum disorders for 5 years. She has a diverse caseload and serves students with articulation/phonological disorders, fluency disorders, language disorders, and hearing impairments.

Tim is a graphic designer with experience in stationery, layout, logo, and advertising design.

The idea for Designing Speech Therapy came from Emily when she was looking for therapy materials on Teachers Pay Teachers, the online marketplace that gives educators of all kinds a platform to buy and sell materials. Having a wealth of knowledge about speech-language pathology but not about using the tools for high quality design, she called upon her husband to help bring her ideas to life.
